Monólogo 3 de Capítulo 10

Mrs. Méndez describes her morning routine and her husband's

 

Benito y yo nos levantamos tarde.

(Benito and I, we got up late.)

No tenemos prisa porque mi marido está jubilado y no trabaja.

(We don´t in a hurry because my husband was retired and don´t have work.) 

Nos lavamos y nos vestimos y salimos a la calle a las doce.

(We wash and we dress and go out into the strees at noon.) 

Vamos al café y nos sentamos en la terraza.

(We went to the cafe and we seat in the terrace.)

Nos gusta salir todos los días.

(We like to go out every day.)

 

Tener prisa  to be in a hurry

jubilado  retired

Arreglar arrange (Nos arreglamos we get ready)

 

 

Arreglarse

'-se' on the end of an infinitive to show it is being used in this 'reflective' way.

ex) hablarse is to talk to yourself!
