'a Frenchman'

a in Spanish is Un. It chages to una when used with a feminine word. Note also that in the sort of sentence shown in the first three examples below, the descriptive world follows the world for the person in Spanish :

영어의 부정관사 a는 스페인어로 un이라고 쓰며, '운'이라고 읽습니다. un은 여성형 명사 앞에서는 una로 쓰는 방법이 바뀌게 되며, '우나'라고 읽습니다.

una señor vasca               a Basque lady

un irlandés                           an Irishman

una inglesa                 an Englishwoman

 

So the word for a has two forms, un and una; in general you use un with a world ending -o(masculine), and una with a world ending in -a(feminine). Words ending withe other letters have to be learnt as you go. This masculine/feminine divide applies to everything in Spanish, not just people, as you will see.

일반적인 스페인어 남성형 단어는 -o로 끝나기 때문에, 남성형 단어의 앞의 부정관사는 un이 붙게 되고, -a로 끝나는 일반적인 여성형 명사는 una를 부정관사로 갖게 되는 거죠. 물론 예외는 존재하기 때문에, 단어를 공부할 때 확인 해야 합니다.
